In date 09/04/2015 the Veneto Regional Council approved the new school calendar for the year 2015/2016.
The calendar provides:
The first and second cycle education schools
Beginning teaching: 16 September 2015
Order teaching: 8 June 2016
Compulsory holidays:
- every Sunday
- the 1 St November, Feast of all Saints
- the 8 December, Immaculate Conception
- the 25 December, Christmas
- the 26 December, Santo Stefano
- on 1 January, New year's Eve
- the 6 January, Epiphany
- on the Monday after Easter
- the 25 April, anniversary of the liberation
- the 1° maggio, labour day
- the 2 June, national day of the Republic
- the feast of the Patron Saint
Mandatory suspension of classes
- the 7 December 2015 (Feast of the Immaculate Conception)
- from 24 December 2015 at 5 January 2016 (Christmas holidays)
- from 8 February to 10 February 2016 (Carnival and Ash Wednesday)
- from 24 March to 29 March 2016 (Easter holidays)
