The Institute Council, According to art. 10 of the Consolidated Law on Education, is the local and collegiate representative body present in all schools and entrusted with the economic and financial governance of the school.
The Institute Council remains in office for three school years and is made up of:
- Headmaster as he is a member by right
- 8 teachers
- 8 parents
- 2 ATA staff members
Those who during the three-year period lose the requirements to be elected to the Council are replaced by the first of the non-elected in the respective lists.
The Institute Council decides in compliance with its own competences and with the other collegial bodies operating in the school. Its resolutions are definitive acts that can be challenged with an appeal to the Regional Administrative Court or with an extraordinary appeal to the Council of State..
The Institute Council, According to art. 10 of the Legislative Decree 16 April 1994, n. 297 (and subsequent amendments) elaborates and adopts the general guidelines and forms of self-financing of the school.
